I believe that the one rule of thumb when selecting a vendor is by doing multiple searches on them. For example, photography vendors, make sure that they have a detailed and filled portfolio. Whether their portfolio is online through social media or an actual photo book portfolio. Make sure it’s what you like and you are happy with his/her’s work.
This special day is all about you! Another factor that I personally believe that should consider when selecting the right vendor is by making sure you and your vendor’s personalities mesh well together. Personality is key. To have fun and to be able to express yourself to your event planner is great. I love when I can bond with a client and they feel the same way it makes my job so much more exciting. This is extremely important because it will allow you to feel comfortable when interacting with them.
One other really successful tip that I live by is to ask for client referrals. The old adage of “you get what you pay for” isn’t always true. Contact others who have booked with the same vendor you are interested in. Even taking a look at previous testimonial is always great because you have the chance to really understand what others have thought about that vendor. Remember wedding planners like myself are here to help. Just take your time to plan out your thoughts, your budget etc. and you’ll be on the road to a successful and stress-free wedding!
