Love love the “mercato” in Soverato!! The fresh foods from all the local vendors is so tempting to not sit there and eat it all!!! The fresh vegetables, the onions from Tropea, the potatoes from the Sila, the fresh fish catch of the day, the vino, the CHEESES!!! I loved the local vendors screaming with passion about their food product! “Signora, signora vieni qui…” Trying to capture my attention…It’s so great to negotiate with them because their passion comes out sometimes little to loud for our Canadian standards… Calabrese people are extremely passionate about the quality of our foods, how it’s grown and how’s it made which no other tour cab guarantee this!….
